HISTORY

All of this began in summer of 2014 when a young adult, Aaron Freeman brought an app on his iPhone, that goes by the name 'SUPER POWER FX', which adds visual FX of super powers to anyone he films. He started making short videos of himself playing about with his 'newly found powers' and posting them on Youtube

One day while out with his friends, Jonathan Larcombe and Ryan Payne, he showed them the app, which got them excited, so they made a short film. Which would become a 'teaser' of this series.

Afterwards, the three boys start pelting each other with ideas of a doing a series revolving around their characters.

A month later they, along with their friend Jackie Fearn went to the Ambassetor Snooker Club, where they filmed the first episode of a series they titled 'Superlonnies' or 'Superlonnys' (Acorrding to Freeman). The episode which they entirely improvised and filmed with Aaron's iPhone, went on to become a hit to their friends and family on the web. (Which Freeman later included scenes from past shorts connecting to the original episode). As well as have him create his own 'studio', An Eye for an iPhone.

As the series progressed, it brought in more cast members/Aaron's friends, Kiefer Adams, Jamie Carruthers, Kyle Hollinsworth and more, with the series becoming a 'smash' on YouTube and Facebook alike.

As time went on, Aaron started to include serious storytelling in the series, as well as creating Origin stories on each character and more cast members/characters were included Rebecca Sallee (Chrisellda) and Kris Bean (Roger) . While filming the latter episodes, Aaron started to 'hatch up' a new action series titled 'Haines', about a part time detective whose a complete mute.

During 2016, Kiefer Adams got a little too carried away with the creativity of the series, which also tied in with his then relationship with Lauren Southwell (known for the two-time role of Whirlwinzia). During the filming of Episode G and Episode H, Southwell caused Adams to fallout with the entire cast, which led to him being removed from the series. Episode H was almost his final appearance, until 2018, when he returned for the opening flashback in Episode J. It was all thanks to the original cut of Episode I that Adams and the rest of cast made amends and Adams continued to be part of the series, even supporting Aaron Freeman with other shorts and episodes, as well as creating a storyline where his character, Iceray, was exiled, which covered up the original reason why Adams was removed...

Moving on from the fallout, with the series becoming a huge hit on the web, friends of Jackie Fearn, Emily Louise (Vibraincia), Becky Algar (Flamly) and Sean Billingham (Elementum) asked Freeman to feature them in the series. Following their brief appearances in shorts and promos, they were properly introduced in the main episodes, Which Freeman  revealed will be a built up to a huge 'showdown' between all the Superlonnys in the finale (Episode L).

An Eye for an iPhone's projects became so entertainning to the world wide web, that Freeman has already started to create his newest series 'iFe & Friends' and releasing teasers (animation tests). About iFe, a little iPhone 6s Plus who lives with many of his phone friends, who will soon get up to all kinds of adventures around their masters house and ''the outside world''

In late 2017, numerous setbacks occurred during production on Episode I. Freeman fell out with Fearn, when she started behaving sourly towards some of the cast members, leading to her being axed/killed off, Freeman took this as an opportunity to kill off a main character in a bid to raise the stakes for the current storyline. Larcombe also 'retired' from the series, claiming to not have much fun doing the series anymore, which Freeman respected and inserted explanations on both Fireball and Elektra's exits for in Episode J and had the former killed off in Episode K. Freeman also took this as an opportunity to focus more on the newer characters, (Agents Chrisellda and Roger, Flamley, Vibraincia and Elementum and McLazor)

As time went on, during filming on Episode K, the series became difficult to arrange as many of the cast members would have difficulty finding time to do filming. On top of Sean Billingham constantly demanding more powers for his character and refusing to participate if denied. Billingham would repeat this on seven occasions frustrating Freeman, leading him to use stock footage of Billingham's character in both Episode J and K. This all came ahead when Freeman expressed this to him and Billingham blocked him as a result. Leading his character to be killed off in the Episode K.

Following the amount of disputes and unfortunate circumstances, Freeman decided he wanted to 'wrapped up the series in it's prime', considering he spent the past four years building up to an unconstructed finale. The series finale Episode L began production on March 2020, but was halted when COVID came into play and the lockdown was put in place, thus putting the Superlonnys on a hiatus. Production would eventually begin again on July the following year starting with the pre battle and epilogue sequences first, before beginning working on the climatic battle between the Superlonnys and Team Evil. It was during filming that Freeman decided to write out both Alger and Louise's characters, due to the pair being difficult when it comes to being available for filming, having both Flamely and Vibraincia hospitalied following their attacks from Team Evil. While filming of the battle Kris Bean (Roger) would occasionally pitch in and co direct his side of the battle. As well as setting up a future spin off for his character, thus the post credit scene.

During production on Episode L, Freeman decided to bring back Fearn and Payne, retconning their characters deaths and to bring closure for all the actors involved. The completion of the series finale meant a lot to Freeman, as he wanted to be done with the series and move on to different projects. Although he would later do a fifth Origins episode focussed on Blaisk, that's take place long before everything that occurs in the series that Freeman felt fitting, following wrapping up on the series finale. He did the ending, now it's time to go back way before the beginning.
